Are we in Seattle or Texas?

We have had an unusual amount of rain and cloudy days this fall here in DFW. Soccer season has started, but we have only played 2 out of the 5 games because of rain outs! Here are a few pics of Davey in action. He is playing again for the team Mansfield United.

WOW...Summer's OVER :(

Well...it's been a whirlwind of a summer, as you can tell from my lack of blog posts! I've also be spending a lot of time posting pics/what we've been up to on Facebook....so much so that I finally had to take a break from it!! I deactivated my account for a while to re-focus. I swear, they need a 12 step program for Facebook addicts! So, to all of my friends that read this...I did NOT de-friend you!! I will be back on later...I really miss it!!

I will post some pics of our vacations (D and I to Mexico for our 15th anniversary), our annual trip to Panama City Beach, lake fun, camping fun and just an overall CRAZY summer!

For now, wanted to share a few pics of the study that I just re-did with the help of friends. I did this while D was away on business (for only 3 days!...I actually did the whole room in one day b/c I had to work the other two!...insane!). Big thanks to Shawn and Diana who I could not have done this without!!

Replaced the ceiling fan...much better! :)

Here is a pic of the entrance. I took the door off the hinge and it really opened up the space!

Now we have a nice place to enjoy, read a book, take a nap and get on the computer. Now that should inspire me to start blogging MORE!! :)

Soccer Boy

Dave ended up on a great soccer team this season...really good coach. Anyway...here are some pics from a couple of his games. He is really a DEFENSE kinda guy, but scored his first goal of the season this past Saturday! Isn't he just the most freakin' cute boy you have ever seen???

Voice Recital

Mason participated in his first voice recital on Sunday. It was SO GREAT!! His teacher is Sarah Conley...such a doll. She is from Mansfield, went off to college in Nashville and now is back in Mansfield teaching. Her studio website is www.destinyvoicestudio.com. I'm hoping to have Mason take more lessons from her and possibly get involved in some local theater since he enjoyed Willy Wonka so much. Here are some pic of our star!! The last one is of Sarah who sang "Anyway"...gave me chill bumps...so good!

News Flash! Kelsey finally got her kip! This is a basic gymnastics skill that is the building block of the bar routine! It took her FOREVER to get it...that's why we're so EXCITED!!
